- Keane are an English piano rock band from Battle, East Sussex, formed in 1995. The group currently comprises Tim Rice-Oxley (piano, backing vocals), Tom Chaplin (lead vocals) and Richard Hughes (drums, percussion). Their original line-up included founder and guitarist Dominic Scott, who left in 2001. The band are arguably best known for their 2004 hit "This Is the Last Time".
