- Terrence Vance Gilliam is an American-born British writer, filmmaker, animator and member of the Monty Python comedy troupe. Gilliam is known as the most creatively artistic member of Monty Python, directing several well-regarded films including Brazil (1985), Twelve Monkeys (1995) and Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas (1998).
