- John Paul Cusack is an American film actor and screenwriter. The son of an Illinois actor, Cusack built his career in the 80s, appearing in teen flicks like The Sure Thing, Sixteen Candles and Better Off Dead. He rose to the position of leading man with roles in Say Anything.... and The Grifters. In the 90s, his roles became more diverse, resulting with credits in films as different as Con Air, Grosse Point Blank, Bullets Over Broadway, High Fidelity and Being John Malkovich.
