- Miranda Hart (born 14 December 1972, Torquay) is an English actress, writer and stand-up comedienne. Her BBC2 television sitcom Miranda, which she wrote and in which she starred, was one of the major hits of 2009 on UK television. She also appeared with French and Saunders, in the BBC television series Hyperdrive and in her semi-autobiographical sitcom Miranda Hart's Joke Shop on BBC Radio 2.
