- Edward Albert Arthur Woodward OBE was an English actor and singer. Originally a Shakespearian stage actor, he was best known for his role in the 1960-1970s spy series, Callan, for the 1973 film The Wicker Man and his lead role in the 1980s American television series The Equalizer.
