- Vanessa Redgrave CBE (born 30 January 1937) is an English actress, winner of an Academy Award, two Cannes Best Actress awards, in addition to the Coppa Volpi, Screen Actors Guild Award, two Golden Globes and Emmy awards. She is a member of the Redgrave family, one of the enduring theatrical dynasties. She is also a social activist for human rights.
