James Edward Franco is an American actor, director, screenwriter, film producer, and artist. His first prominent role was on the short-lived cult hit television programme Freaks and Geeks. Other notable films include the Spiderman trilogy, Pineapple Express, Milk, 127 Hours, Tristan & Isolde, Annapolis, The Iceman and Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Since 2009, he's had a recurring role in the ABC soap opera General Hospital.
