- Mark Duplass (born 7 December 1976) is an American film director, film producer, actor and screenwriter. Duplass was born in New Orleans, Louisiana. He is the brother of director and writer Jay Duplass. He is also the lead singer of the rock band Volcano, I'm Still Excited!!. Duplass is one of the founders of the mumblecore aesthetic, with the film The Puffy Chair that he co-wrote with his brother Jay and Baghead that he co-directed with him. He also currently stars in the new FX comedy television series The League.
