Synopsis

Arguably the first supergroup, Cream with Disraeli Gears in 1967, achieved massive worldwide success and ensured their place in rock’s hall of fame. Disraeli Gears has long been regarded as a classic, transforming Cream from visionary blues based revivalists to psychedelic pop/rock heroes and was a pivotal moment in the development of Heavy Rock.

By the use of interviews, musical demonstration, acoustic performance and archive footage, the programme tells the story behind the conception and recording of this ground breaking album.

    worth a look

    06 December 2008
If you like psychedelic music, then Cream will be for you. You will be reminded of some of the classic guitar riffs that made the band such an icon during the late 60s and this film lives up to that. It is a very interesting documentary that is nicely put together. The personal accounts are funny and informative although at times it can be a little cringeworthy with the self-praise about their work. Despite the flaws, it is worth a look.
