Synopsis

Hobie overhears his divorced parents, Mitch and Gayle, arguing over his custody agreement. Their fighting upsets him so he runs away to a deserted island with two friends. An enjoyable afternoon turns to alarm when they find the body of a man killed by two modern day pirates.

    Just when I started singing Baywatch’s praises, it sinks to its lowest level. A ridiculously long Speedos-included running montage and a weak story undermine this episode making it the worst so far. It lacked the pace of the others, and the storyline between The Hoff and his ex-wife is simply unoriginal and highlights the frequent weakness of the show’s writing. There is a quality chase at the end, but I didn’t find this episode either that engaging or that interesting.
