Episode Info
Synopsis
Midlands’ band promoter Tony Goodwin likes his rock and roll lifestyle. Late nights in beery venues see him downing 2000 pints a year, and puffing his way through 7000 fags. But it’s all taken its toll: wrecked hotel rooms, there are not, but his appearance is certainly more wrecked than rocking. The consensus is grim: a poll of one hundred people suggests Tony’s more Supertramp than real rock star, putting his age at 57 – a colossal thirteen years older than he actually is. Time for a revamp from Nicky Hambleton-Jones and team. Cosmetic surgeon Jan Stanek’s on hand to help with those saggy eye bags; cosmetic dentist Surinder Hundle sorts out his chipped and yellow teeth, and hairdresser Andrew Barton commits Tony’s greying pony to the knacker’s yard. But Tony’s is no ordinary 10 Years Younger journey: mid-way through the process, a shock discovery of just how much damage Tony has done to himself turns this image-overhaul into a lifestyle-changing life-saver…
