Synopsis

Trance mourns the loss of her relative, Mesmer, but in the middle of the ceremony the Andromeda is hit by many massive shockwaves, sending the ship reeling. They discover that the shockwaves emanated from a star going supernova, and signs point towards the use of a weapon similar to a nova bomb. The crew comes to the conclusion that Marduk, a rogue planet, is the source of the weapon, but the Andromeda needs help to achieve its goals.

    Pre-emptive strike on a factory for mass destruction weapons... That's sound so familar. Why should I watch Sci-Fi, when I could just watch George W. Bush... Didn't like the episode. No real idea, no criticism or reflections on the seem (despite the little monologue of beaker at the end...) plus some long boring dog fight scenes... Don't watch it. Isn't worth the time...

    The ethics of a pre-emptive strike on a factory building weapons of mass destruction. Note the two-faced politicos ( represented as twins) denying everything. All this well before Iran etc, Iraq etc.
