Synopsis

In the 13th season premiere, the aftermath of a shootout in the emergency room affects everyone on duty. Pratt and Neela rush to the hospital to help their colleagues after attending Gallant's funeral. The stressful events have caused Abby to go into premature labor. Kovac struggles to get someone's attention after being injected with a paralyzing drug and hidden away during the incident. Desk clerk Jerry (recurring guest star ABRAHAM BENRUBI - "Men in Trees") clings to life with serious gunshot wounds. And after she is taken hostage along with her diabetic young son, Sam finds herself on a terrifying ride with her psychotic ex-husband and his violent cohorts.
