4 years in the making, it is the most expensive nature documentary series ever commissioned by the BBC, and also the first to be filmed in high definition. The series comprises eleven episodes, each of which features a global overview of a different habitat on Earth. Narrated by the evergreen David Attenborough, Planet Earth is a truly staggering piece of work. It is a thing of beauty and should be seen by everyone with a heart and brain, old or young.
