Nominated for five French César Awards, The Crimson Rivers reunites director Mathieu Kassovitz and actor Vincent Cassel (La Haine). The same day, 300 kilometers apart, two policemen are given two very particular cases. Pierre Niemans (Jean Reno), with infallible instincts in criminal affairs, travels to Guernon, a university town high in the Alps, where a murder has taken place. Young loner Max Kerkerian (Vincent Cassel), a former car thief who entered the police force through a love of danger, is charged with investigating the desecration of the grave of a young girl who disappeared 20 years before. As clues bring them together, the two investigations crash head-on. And the murders multiply. Finding the truth will take the two policemen to high altitudes, caught between icy heights and death's door.
